How Vision Source Rio Eye Care Grew Organic Traffic and Search Visibility

Vision Source Rio Eye Care came to us with a website that had real traffic but limited room to grow. They needed a stronger content engine, better domain authority, and optimized local pages to turn search visibility into actual appointments. Over the past year, we built a full SEO strategy around blog content, backlinks, and local optimization that more than doubled their organic traffic and dramatically expanded their reach in Google Search.

Challenge: Limited Visibility, Untapped Local Demand

When we began working with Vision Source Rio, the site was generating 2.5K monthly organic visitors and ranking for around 1.2K keywords. Search Console showed roughly 80.8K impressions and 1.27K clicks, meaning the site was appearing in search but not converting that exposure into clicks at scale. Domain authority sat at 15, which made it harder to compete against more established local healthcare sites. Location-specific pages, like the one targeting Albuquerque, also weren’t optimized to capture nearby patient searches.

Solution: Content, Authority, and Local SEO Working Together

We built a three-part strategy. First, a sustained blog content program: over 122 low-competition, high-search-volume informational articles published to capture top-of-funnel traffic and build topical authority.

Second, a backlink and business listing campaign, securing high-quality guest posts and authoritative links that pushed domain rating up significantly, while local business listings improved visibility in geographic search results. Third, dedicated optimization of location pages like Albuquerque, including fully rewritten SEO copy aligned to local search intent and supporting business listings to strengthen local authority.

Results: Traffic, Rankings, and Local Visibility All Climbing

The numbers moved across the board. Organic traffic grew from 2.5K to 5.4K monthly visitors, and keyword rankings expanded from 1.2K to 1.8K.

Search Console impressions jumped from 80.8K to 2.77M, with clicks climbing from 1.27K to 11K a clear sign that the blog and content strategy was driving sustained visibility. Domain rating also rose from 15 to 26 through consistent, quality link building. On the Albuquerque page specifically, impressions reached 12.7K, and the page now ranks in the top 3 positions for branded local queries like “Vision Source Heights” and “Vision Source Albuquerque,” with over 1,200 users visiting via Google Analytics in a 30-day period making it the second-best-performing page on the entire site.
