Cancer Canknot began with one person’s diagnosis and a clear mission: to turn what cancer can’t do into what we can do together. Their story of survival, strength, and supporting others was powerful but their online presence didn’t yet reflect that momentum. With products, stories, and donations all visible but not connected, visitors felt the message, but couldn’t quickly navigate how to engage. We built a website platform that brings the mission front-and-center helping visitors become supporters, survivors, and community, all in one place.

Challenge: A Strong Message But Disconnected Channels

While Cancer Canknot offered bracelets, apparel, and a children’s book to support families touched by cancer, their online presence lacked a smooth pathway for visitors: how to learn the story, join the movement, shop the product, and support research. Without clear structure, some visitors left unsure how to take next steps: browse, share, or donate. The organization needed a unified digital experience that honours the personal journey, showcases the cause, and simplifies involvement.

Solution: Unified Site, Clear Story, Meaningful Action

We re-imagined the Cancer Canknot website to integrate their story, product shop, donations, and community wall into one continuous journey. The homepage introduces the “knot” symbol and mission instantly. From there, users can move to the story of survival, browse product collections (bracelets, apparel, children’s book), view real-life testimonials, and donate all clearly linked. The shop was optimized for browsing by cancer-type color, and the backend simplified so the team can add new stories, products, or campaign info without technical overhead.

Results: Stronger Engagement, Elevated Impact

Now the website reflects what Cancer Canknot already excels at: inspiring hope, raising funds, and building community. Visitors feel the story, find the product, and join the cause with ease. The streamlined digital path has improved clarity and conversion from “hear the story” to “take action.” The site now supports the organization’s promise: net proceeds to research and families, visible impact, and the strength of connection.
